We are very pleased to welcome the performance stallion Ekelys Turning Leaf to the Schunterhof for the 2023 season. In addition to our own mares, Turning Leaf is also available to a limited number of guest mares in natural jumping.

Turning Leaf successfully completed the 30 TT in Neustadt/Dosse in September 2021 with a final score of 7.65 and was licensed in Wickrath in November 2021.
He is registered as a performance stallion in both the Rhenish Horse Stud Book and the ZfdP in Stallion Book 1 and is characterized by an affable character and willingness to perform. He is particularly impressive with his expansive uphill canter and his ability to jump.

Coveted Irish bloodlines can be found in his pedigree. His father Nire Valley Franklee was a premium stallion candidate in Hanover and impressed with his outstanding gaits and excellent jumping ability. His mother Nire Valley HeaTher also produced the highly successful state premium mare Ekelys Niamh, who can look back on numerous successes in the show ring. Among other things, she became Supreme Champion of the International Connemara Pony Show in Belgium 2017, FN Federal Premium and Federal Champion Mare in Magdeburg 2018 and Champion Mare of the Connemara Federal Show 2022 in Bremen. Ekelys Niamh is also the mother of two approved stallions, the premium stallion candidate Ekelys Chance and Ekelys Faber.
